Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez agrees to join West Ham from Bayer Leverkusen in a  £13m deal

Mexico striker Javier Hernandez has agreed to return to the Premier League with West Ham, the club confirmed Thursday.
"Chicharito" is expected to undergo a medical on Monday, ESPN Mexico reported, ahead of a move to the London club from Germany's Bayer Leverkusen, where he had been set to enter the final year of his contract.
A club statement said: "West Ham United and Bayer Leverkusen have agreed terms for the transfer of Javier Hernandez to London Stadium.
"The former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker will fly to London in the coming days to finalise personal terms and undergo a medical with the Hammers."
Sources close to West Ham had told ESPN FC  early today that a deal was close to completion, with Hernandez's £13 million (€14.5m, $16.9m) release clause set to be activated.
If all goes as planned, Hernandez, who became Mexico's all time leading scorer in may, could make his West Ham debut against former club Manchester United at Old Trafford on Aug. 13.
Hernandez left United for Leverkusen in 2015 having netted 59 goals in 157 appearances for the Red Devils, and he has continued to score goals in the Bundesliga.
The 29-year-old has 39 in 76 appearances for Bayer since his arrival, but he has been interested in a move back to the Premier League.
Hernandez played four seasons at Man United after moving from Chivas in 2010. He then played for Real Madrid on loan in the 2014-15 season, scoring nine goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.
He moved to Bayer Leverkusen in August 2015 for a reported fee of £7.3m, meaning the Bundesliga club is set to make a profit as Hernandez returns to England.
Hernandez would be the third Mexican player to suit up for West Ham, after Guillermo Franco in the 2009-10 season and Pablo Barrera the next campaign, though both were largely unsuccessful at Upton Park, the Hammer's former home.
Up to this point, West Ham had been frustrated in their attempts to land transfer targets this summer, with Arsenal's Olivier Giroud, Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi and Manchester City's Kelechi Iheanacho all linked with moves to the London Stadium.
However, Austria forward Marko Arnautovic is reportedly due to have a medical in the next 48 hours after the Hammers agreed a deal with Stoke City in the region of £24m.
Meanwhile, West Ham have agreed a deal to sell goalkeeper Darren Randolph to Championship club Middlesbrough, sources told ESPN FC on Thursday.
The move comes after the Hammers made a splash on Tuesday by completing a season-long loan for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.
