Liverpool 'told Barcelona Philippe Coutinho is priced at €150million' during negotiations last week
Liverpool told Barcelona that they have priced Philippe Coutinho at €150million, according to reports.
The Reds face a battle to keep hold of Coutinho during this transfer window after the Brazilian handed in a transfer request at Anfield.
But Liverpool are determined to keep hold of their star man.
Liverpool told Barcelona during their negotiations last week that they expect no less than €150m (£136.5m) for a deal to be considered.
Liverpool remain adamant that they will not sell this summer.
Philippe Coutinho has personally submitted a transfer request, as his war with Liverpool's owners broke out into the open.
The Brazil star responded to a statement issued this morning by Reds bosses FSG , which definitively started he would NOT be sold during the current transfer window under any circumstance for any price - by slapping in his demand to leave.
It is understood the player's representatives suggested privately he would be submitting the request at lunch time, and that duly followed, with the player himself sending an email to the club setting out a formal transfer request.
Coutinho's actions are a surprise, because when players officially ask to leave, they usually prefer to do it through their representatives.
But the midfielder's decision to make a personal submission suggests he is determined to leave, with Barcelona ready to bid again for his services.
